Green Sauce

Green sauce, I love it. You can serve it with quesadillas, on fried eggs, on tacos, on burritos, on everything! And it has a very special sour flavor that I love, very different from red sauce.

You will need:
  • 14 green tomatoes or tomatillos (tomate fresadilla)
  • 1 onion
  • 2 jalapeño chiles (not spicy sauce, if you like it spicy then 3 or 4 jalapeño chiles)
  • 4 tbsp coriander (parsley)
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • salt & pepper
  • 2 tsp Knorr Chicken Broth Bouillon
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Directions:

In a deep skillet place the tomatillos, chiles, parsley and onion (cut in half for less cooking time) and cover with plain water. Place it in high heat until it starts boiling. Lower heat and keep it boiling.

Tomatillos will start darkening, keep them boiling.

When the tomatillos are fully cooked, place them in a food processor (or blender) along with chiles, onion, parsley and garlic.

Blend and add chicken broth bouillon and salt&pepper to taste.

Keep blending.

Place the same deep skillet where you cooked the veggies in medium heat and add vegetable oil.

Let it heat, add the sauce and keep stirring continously.

Let it boil for 3 minutes, stirring. And now it's ready!
E N J O Y !
