Apple Cinnamon Chips

So, for a snack, instead of eating an apple I decided (of course, supervised by my doctor) to have apple chips. As long as they don't contain oil. Or sugar (Splenda is OK). So I made them and they are amazing. Another way to get our of the rutine.
I used:
  • 1 apple
  • 1/2 tbsp cinnamon

Preheat the oven to the lowest temperature (100°C/212°F). Cut the apple with a mandolin (I don't have one) or knife.

Try to make very thin slices.

In a baking sheet covered with parchment paper, place the apple slices. They can touch but they shouldn't overlap. Sprinkle cinnamon on top. In order to experiment, I added a little Splenda (less than 1/2 packet) in half of the slices (right side).

Bake them for an hour and remove from heat.

Carefully, remove every slice from the baking sheet and keep in an airtight container.

Enjoy! If you are not on a diet, you can make a Caramel Dip and dip them!

    1. They were crisp for maybe 1/2 day, then the next day they were chewy =(
I think that for them to be crispy they must be rubbed in olive oil before baking, but I can't have olive oil in my snack...
